a day of this and that

A day of showers and dappled sunshine, felting and walks.  I had fun pondering the trees and plants which I could use in the natural dye processes and decided that I will keep a journal of the adventure.  These pictures are some of the day's activities.

Now this looks like needle felting -- is it?

Thanks for checking out my first felting! I'm still really intrigued by your wet felting. Probably because I agree with your on sentiment, that you aren't striving so much for a realistic interpretation. I'm most interested in the abstract as well.

Oh, now I"m maybe understand better how the wet felting works; so you kind of blend the fibers and colors by wetting them, then iron them, and then perhaps shred or tear them and use them as if making a collage?
