Ok, so I've decided to follow the EDM Challenge script and use their list of suggestions to work through... no point in reinventing a perfectly good wheel is there ;) I'll use my own challenge sketch of the mug as their forth one with the same requirement.
I've just rediscovered your blog, thanks to the kind comment you left on mine. Your drawings are so good - I still struggle. Amazing that the tooth mentioned in an earlier post could be so decorative! I must try not to lose you again.
Beautiful sketch and well done for keeping up the challenge, I've been doing the same, on my own for about a year and a half now, it's a wonderful discipline.
