best foot forward into the new year
With the tax return done and the snows starting again I thought I'd begin the new year with something a little more colourful. In rememberance of Autumn, ripe victoria plums and golden sunsets and dancing corn fields, I set about a new scarf this afternoon. The luscious silk fibres from "wooliebullie" on etsy arrived this morning. On opening them and seeing all that colour I couldn't put it away in the box eh! So, out with the silk and dyes and then a couple of hours of felting, et voila... Now what kind of edging, hmm.

Those colours sing together! What a beautiful image.
Those colours are so luscious - I just want to wrap myself in them.
Rich and sumptuous - how lovely this is: a warm embrace.
Have a fantastic 2011

Beautiful colours..... Sunday is my tax return day :( Something to look forward too!
Two of my favourite colour combinations Helen; Gorgeous. Don't you just love the way silk sings next to felt. These two colours also remind me of the Church where the purple signifies power. Isn't it strange how colours hold different things for different people I prefer your descriptions though. My Victoria Plums ripening at the back of my garden while the grass in the field behind turned gold. Yes, that sounds much nicer. Happy New Year Helen:) x x x x
Truely luscious colours & richness, they'll make a gorgeous scarf. Hope you have a wonderful, creative 2011.
